About the Accademia
The Accademia will focus on Italian Operatic Repertoire from Baroque, Mozart and Belcanto to
Verdi, Puccini and their contemporaries. A team of internationally acclaimed mentors active in the Opera business will provide participants with the tools for a global career.
We will follow a holistic approach incorporating all relevant elements. These include: preparation of arias/roles; refinement of Italian diction; stylistic work and phrasing according to the era/composer; coaching from the conductor's perspective; interpretation and performance skills. We will also address preparing for auditions and selection of the appropriate repertoire depending on the participant's specific circumstances.
In addition to masterclasses you will also have the possibility to select individual coaching with our mentors. Upon completion of the program all participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance signed by all faculty members. You will have a further chance to demonstrate your mastery of these concepts at an Online Gala Concert to be held at the end of the program. The faculty will select the three top performing artists from the group who will receive the "Prix Atelier d'Excellence".
